Patrick Brennan
Research Director

Patrick oversees nfpSynergy’s
syndicated research programmes including the highly successful
Charity Awareness Monitor (CAM), and
Brand Attributes. He also runs the
Irish Charity Engagement Monitor (ICEM) with
Caterina.
Experienced in using quantitative and qualitative research methodology, conducting desk research and analysing social scientific data, Patrick also manages bespoke research projects which run in conjunction with nfpSynergy’s syndicated work. Recent clients include Macmillan Cancer Support, Concern Worldwide, Plan UK and Samaritans.
Prior to nfpSynergy, Patrick worked for the Future Foundation as an analyst, developing content for their flagship service, nVision. He has also worked for Alison Ive Consulting. In the charity sector, Patrick has chaired a unit of St. John Ambulance for a year, overseeing recruitment, PR, fundraising, public operations and training. In addition he also fundraises for international development charity Health Unlimited.
Patrick graduated from the University of Surrey with an honours degree in Psychology (2:1). His final year projects included environmental sustainability, social construction of racism, human rights, deviant behaviour at work, football hooliganism and body language.
