Gemma Tracey

Researcher

Gemma runs nfpSynergy’s various parliamentary monitors. If you are a charity or public body interested in tracking what politicians at Westminster, the Scottish Parliament or the Welsh and Northern Irish Assemblies know about charities then Gemma is the person to contact. She also manages our biannual survey of the Scottish population: the Scottish Charity Engagement Monitor.

Gemma joined nfpSynergy in May 2006 after working on humanitarian issues at the United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations in New York. While there she gained both an interesting insight into the workings of international diplomacy and a deeper understanding of the role of charities in providing humanitarian assistance.

Gemma has also worked as an English teacher at a university in Tomsk, Siberia and as an intern at the United Nations headquarters in New York. She graduated with a first in French and Russian from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh in 2004.
